While Team 7 had an ever-changing roster, the following are the men who were present during the Gen-Factor virus incident:
  • Berckman: Shortly after being exposed to the Gen-Factor virus, Berckman gouged his own eyes out in an attempt to stop the pain. Presumed dead.
  • Callahan: A highly-decorated Marine before he joined Team 7, Stephen Callahan was pretty cool under fire. He stayed on the team through thick and thin, until 1979, when he was killed while protecting his family from I.O. In DV8 #30 (7/99) it was revealed that Callahan in fact survived and was kept in stasis all these years.
  • Cash: Ex-Army Special Forces and a reckless, care-free conman, he learned to accept responsibility after his experiences with Team 7 and the Gen-Factor. These days, Cole Cash is better known as Grifter, the masked gun-toting adventurer.
  • Chang: Phil Chang, a native of Hong Kong and former British SAS operative, disappeared without a trace once Craven's true intentions were revealed. It is likely that he was one of those responsible for keeping the team's children hidden from Craven. Chang's son is Grunge, a member of the Gen13 team. Chang made a cameo appearance at Michael Cray's funeral, after everyone else had left.
  • Cray: A member of the Navy's SEAL Team Six before his Team 7 days, Michael Cray (aka Deathblow) didn't manifest his powers until the early 1990s. Once a ruthless killer and mercenary, his recent experiences caused him to change his outlook on life. Unfortunately, he was killed in action while saving the world from the extradimensional Damocles.
  • Dane: Former Delta Force operative Jackson Dane, once possessing perhaps the most power of any of the team, had his mind wiped clean during a battle with Russian SPBs in the 1970s. He currently leads the rogue team known as Wetworks, and is slowly recovering his memory.
  • Fairchild: Former Green Beret and hellraiser Alex Fairchild, like his teammate Chang, vanished in the late 1970s. He helped get the team members' children to safety, and then retreated to a remote island to live a life of solitude. Recently, he was discovered by the Gen13 team and reunited with his daughter Caitlin. He spends his time nowadays with Lynch and the Gen13 in a quasi-mentor role. In Gen13 #39 (7/99) Alex Fairchild was killed in battle while defending his daughter and her teammates.
  • Johnson: Survived the initial exposure, but was executed by Cash in East Africa in the mid-1970s after he began killing for the sheer fun of it.
  • Lynch: Team 7's leader through good times and bad, John Lynch was a faithful minion of Craven and I.O. until 1994. After finally realizing Craven's true motivations, he helped the Gen13 kids escape from the I.O. facility, and is currently protecting and training them. Lynch is missing his left eye due to an incident in Leningrad in the 1970s. His son, Bobby Lane aka Burnout, is a member of the Gen13 team.
  • McNamara: After being exposed to the Gen-Factor, McNamara lost control of his new powers and incinerated the better part of a cell block. He then opted to kill himself rather than deal with the pain that his new powers were causing him. However, McNamara didn't die.
  • Slayton: A former officer in the Air Force and the oldest of the Team 7 soldiers, Marc Slayton (aka Backlash) remained loyal to Craven and I.O. until the bitter end. Even afterward, when the team had split up, he stayed busy as the combat trainer for Stormwatch. Only recently did he strike out on his own, having a series of adventures before joining the Psi-Ops team.

Team members listed in blue are still alive and well in the WildStorm universe. Those listed in red are no longer with us. The few listed in grey fall under the classification "current whereabouts unknown."

In addition to these men, there are a few other Team 7 members who weren't around for the Gen-Factor incident:
  • Robert Diaz: Badly wounded on an earlier mission, he was mistakenly left for dead by his teammates. Twenty-five years later, he showed up looking for revenge (see the Kindred miniseries.) Presumed dead after Miles Craven had his island firebombed, Diaz returned as the villain Bloodmoon and attempted to take Slayton and his daughter's Gen-Factors.
  • Lucius Morgan: There is some doubt as to whether he was actually in Team 7 or not. Regardless, he was close with several of its members, and apparently helped whisk their children to safety in the late 1970s. Lucius is the captain of the pirate ship Seven Seas and was recently reunited with his long-lost daughter, Daphne, thanks to the Gen13.
  • Jack Rhodes: Wounded in action, he was confined to a wheelchair. This didn't keep him out of action, however; he became the hacker extraordinaire known as Cyberjack. He was good friends with Cash and Slayton for decades, and it was Rhodes who reunited Slayton with the teenaged daughter he didn't know he had. Jack Rhodes was killed in Gamorra during the "Fire From Heaven" incident.
